Welcome to OKC Second Hand Swag!

Welcome to my first blog!  I’d been thinking about blogging for the last couple of months but couldn’t figure out my angle.  I thought about a family blog but ours is dysfunctional.  I thought about a cooking blog but decided that there were already too many exceptional ones out there.  I also thought about a local travel blog but realized that it would take a great deal of time, money and effort to plan out a year’s worth of trips.  Then, I had one of those “lightbulb” moments and it occurred to me...blog about my Oklahoma City secondhand swag!

I’ve been shopping garage sales and thrift stores for years.  I’ve bought everything from dog clothes and specialty cake pans to holiday decorations and a couple of bicycles.  I’ve watched “Antiques Roadshow” and wondered if some of my old or unusual stuff is worth anything.  I’ve found some great deals practicing this cheap version of retail therapy.  It seems like almost everyone wants to shop or save money so I’m gonna set out to do both at the same time...cause that’s how I roll!

I’ll commit to two weekly entries in order to discuss my latest discoveries and anything else found of interest.  I’ll let you know some basic information plus what I found while doing some quick research...kinda like a local and very low budget version of “American Pickers.”
